Streaming rai.tv senza Silverlight / Moonlight

Script che ci consente di visualizzare i canali RAI in streaming senza usare Firefox e le sue pesanti (e a volte malfunzionanti) estensioni:

Streaming audio: aggiornare il database del vostro server DAAP

Torniamo a parlare di mt-daapd.
Se avete aggiunto dei file .mp3 al vostro repository ma non vengono visualizzati, ad esempio, da rhythmbox, e' necessario fare una ricostruzione del database di mt-daapd:

In teoria potete eseguire la procedura direttamente dall'interfaccia web di mt-daapd, ma personalmente non mi ha dato gran risultati...meglio fare nella vecchia maniera:

Cercare il file songs3.db

(da me si trova in /var/cache/mt-daapd)

Cancellare il file suddetto:

rm /var/cache/mt-daapd/songs3.db

Eseguire un restart del server:

/etc/init.d/mt-daapd restart

Streaming Audio: condividere musica con un server DAAP

DAAP (Digital Audio Access Protocol) e' il protocollo introdotto da Apple per condividere i propri media su reti LAN con il suo software iTunes.

E' possibile configurare una macchina come server DAAP e accedervi da vari client: Rhythmbox, Winamp, Amarok. In questo modo i file audio presenti sul server possono essere ascoltati su tutti i pc della rete.

Vediamo come installare e configurare un server DAAP su Debian e Ubuntu:

apt-get install mt-daapd

Occorre poi editare il file /etc/mt-daapd.conf facendo soprattutto attenzione a questo settaggio:

mp3_dir

Indica la directory che contiene i file da condividere, es.:

mp3_dir = /home/media/music

Eseguire un restart del servizio:

/etc/init.d/mt-daapd restart

Url per l'ascolto delle web radio da Rhythmbox, Winamp, ecc. ecc.
